Terms of Service

Stampling

Last updated: 4 May 2026

Effective date: 4 May 2026

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Stampling("the App", "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Piotr Boroń, an individual conducting unregistered business activity under Article 5 of the Polish Entrepreneurs' Law of 6 March 2018 (ustawa z dnia 6 marca 2018 r. - Prawo przedsiębiorców), with a registered address at al. Solidarności 68/121, 00-240 Warsaw, Poland, European Union("we", "us", "our"), and govern your access to and use of Stampling.

By downloading, installing, registering for, or using Stampling, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

These Terms apply to every user of the App, including users on the free tier, users on Stampling Pro (subscription or lifetime), and users participating in the optional pairing/shared albums feature.

1.1 Apple App Store and Google Play

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, you also acknowledge Apple's "Licensed Application End User License Agreement" ( https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/), which applies in addition to these Terms. In the event of conflict between the Apple EULA and these Terms, the more user-protective term prevails for that conflict only. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

If you obtained the App from Google Play, you acknowledge that the Google Play Terms of Service apply to the distribution of the App, and that Google is not a party to these Terms.

2. About the Service

Stampling is a mobile application that helps you build a personal photo memory journal. Functionality includes:

  • Capturing or importing photos and turning them into stylised "stamps".
  • Organising stamps into albums and collections, with creative cover styling, tags, captions, and likes.
  • Tracking creative streaks, daily prompts, weekly progress, and badge milestones.
  • Optional paired sharing: privately syncing selected albums with one chosen partner via the cloud.
  • Exporting and sharing stamp artwork as images or story-ready formats.

The vast majority of the App's functionality runs entirely on your device. Cloud features are opt-in and require an account.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Stampling. By using the App you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are between 16 and 18 (or below the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you confirm that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Accounts and Authentication

4.1 When an account is required

You can use the core, on-device features of Stampling without creating an account. An account is only required for the optional cloud features: pairing, shared albums, and cloud sync.

4.2 Sign-in methods

To create or access an account you must use one of the supported methods:

  • Sign in with Apple (iOS — required to be offered alongside other third-party sign-in methods on iOS)
  • Sign in with Google (Android)
  • Email and password

Authentication is provided by Supabase. Apple and Google identity tokens are exchanged for a Supabase session; we do not receive your social-media-style profile data.

4.3 Account accuracy and security

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and recovery key confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@stampling.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that use false information, that abuse the Service, or that violate these Terms.

4.4 One pair, one trusted partner

The pairing feature is designed for one trusted partner per account at a time. To swap partners you must first leave your current pair (see § 5.5).

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted use

You may use Stampling solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

5.2 Prohibited conduct

You must not, and must not assist anyone else to:

  • Upload, create, transmit, or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, child-sexually-exploitative, hateful, harassing, or that violates any third-party right (including privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or contractual rights).
  • Use the App to harass, abuse, intimidate, stalk, "dox", or otherwise harm any person, including your paired partner.
  • Use the App to share intimate imagery of another person without their explicit, current, and informed consent.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt, or otherwise derive the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any access control, entitlement check, licensing restriction, rate limit, or anti-abuse system.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or any non-human means to access the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute access to the Service or any account.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or any code intended to harm, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to systems or data.
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure, our service providers' infrastructure, or another user's device.
  • Use the App or its content in connection with the training, fine-tuning, or evaluation of any machine-learning or generative-AI model without our prior written consent.

5.3 User-generated content

You retain ownership of photos, captions, album names, and other content you create within Stampling ("Your Content"). By using the optional pairing/cloud sync feature, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, transmit, encrypt, decrypt, copy, transcode (including to optimised JPEG copies for upload), and display Your Content solely to operate the Service and deliver shared content to your paired partner. This licence ends when you delete Your Content from the Service, leave your pair, or delete your account, except for residual copies in routine backups (see Privacy Policy § 7).

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have all necessary rights to Your Content.
  • Your Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights.
  • You have obtained any required consent from individuals identifiable in photos you upload or share, including consent to share those photos with your paired partner.

Cloud-synced content is private by design and is intended to be accessible only to you and your paired partner. Stampling does not operate a public feed, public profiles, or public content discovery. There are no comments from strangers, no follower mechanics, and no algorithmic distribution of your content beyond the one paired partner you explicitly chose.

5.4 Content not stored on our servers (solo use)

If you do not enable pairing, Your Content stays entirely on your device. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it for you. Uninstalling the App or wiping the device removes that data permanently.

5.5 Pairing, reporting, and blocking your partner

Pairing is an explicit, two-step, consent-based handshake: one user creates an invite (QR or 6-digit code) and the other user scans or enters it; the inviter must then accept the join request before the link is established. The invite expires; only one pending join request can be acted on at a time.

Either member may leave the pair at any time from the in-app couples screen. Leaving the pair:

  • Dissolves the shared cloud scope on the server (best-effort; retried by both clients).
  • Removes shared cloud content where backend cleanup succeeds.
  • Removes locally-cached partner-shared photos from this device.
  • Keeps each member's private local albums intact on their own device.

If your paired partner shares objectionable content or behaves abusively toward you, you have multiple immediate remedies, all available without contacting us:

  1. Leave the pair("Leave pair" or "Report & leave" in the couples screen). This severs the relationship on this device immediately and on the server when the next sync completes.
  2. Delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. This wipes your server-side data and any remaining shared cloud copies that are tied to your account, in addition to leaving the pair.
  3. Reset the App locally to clear all device-side data.

For escalation, illegal content, or anything you would like us to investigate, please email support@stampling.app with as much detail as you can share. We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours and act within 24-72 hours depending on severity. We may, in our reasonable discretion, remove content, dissolve a pair, suspend or terminate an account, refuse re-pairing, and/or report unlawful content to the competent authorities. We do not tolerate any objectionable content or abusive users on the Service.

Because pairs are private 1:1 spaces and content is not publicly visible, there is no in-app "block" toggle distinct from "leave pair" — leaving the pair fully severs the relationship. A user you have previously paired with cannot rejoin without you initiating a new invite.

5.6 Cloud storage limits

Cloud storage is shared between paired members and is subject to a per-pair cap (currently 5 GB). When the cap is reached, new uploads are blocked until space is freed by deleting cloud copies, leaving the pair, or one of the members purchases additional capacity if that is offered in your region. Local copies on your devices are not affected.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Free tier

Stampling is available for free with limits, including a maximum of 12 lifetime stamps, a limited stamp-shape collection, limited cover textures and gradients, no canvas board, no shared-album cloud sync, and a streak ceiling. Exact limits are displayed in the App and may evolve.

6.2 Stampling Pro

Stampling Pro is a paid plan that unlocks:

  • Unlimited stamps and albums.
  • Full stamp-shape collection.
  • Canvas board mode.
  • Expanded album-cover styling (textures, gradients, photo covers).
  • Shared-album cloud sync (subject to the per-pair cloud storage cap).
  • Additional features as announced from time to time.

6.3 Plans, pricing, and billing

Stampling Pro is offered on:

  • Monthly auto-renewing subscription
  • Annual auto-renewing subscription
  • Lifetime one-time purchase

Prices, any introductory or trial offer, renewal periods, and applicable taxes are displayed inside the App before you confirm purchase, and may vary by region. All purchases are processed by:

  • The Apple App Store (iOS)
  • Google Play (Android)

We do not process payment cards ourselves. Subscription lifecycle events are handled by RevenueCat on our behalf. Auto-renewing subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. You can manage or cancel at any time:

  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions
  • Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions

6.4 Couples Unlock

When either member of a paired couple holds an active Stampling Pro entitlement (subscription, annual, lifetime, or reviewer access), Pro benefits are extended to the other paired partner for the duration of the pair and the entitlement. Couples Unlock ends automatically when the pair is dissolved or when the entitlement lapses.

6.5 Refunds

Refund requests are governed by the rules of the store you purchased from:

Where required by EU/Polish consumer law (in particular the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days), you may be entitled to a refund through us as well. By starting to use a paid digital service immediately upon purchase, you acknowledge that your statutory withdrawal right may be lost once performance has begun, in accordance with applicable law. Lifetime purchases are non-recurring and non-refundable except where required by law or store policy.

6.6 Price changes

We may change subscription prices with prior notice through the relevant store or through the App. Where required, your continued subscription past the effective date constitutes acceptance; you may also cancel before the new price takes effect.

6.7 Cloud sync when Pro lapses (read-only grace)

For paired cloud sync, if neither member of the pair has an active Stampling Pro entitlement (including lifetime) and neither member is on reviewer unlock:

  • New cloud writes stop immediately when the paid period ends (uploads, metadata changes that would alter the shared cloud copy).
  • For 30 days after that, you may still download and view existing cloud copies of shared albums where our systems allow ("read-only grace"). Local copies on your device are not removed by this policy.
  • After the 30-day grace period, we may delete or make unavailable cloud copies of shared content. Cloud storage when both members are lapsed is not a permanent backup.
  • If either member renews Pro or buys lifetime during the grace period (or before cloud cleanup completes), full sync resumes for content that still exists in the cloud.

Account deletion, leaving the pair, and all in-app privacy cleanup flows continue to work regardless of subscription status, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6.8 Reviewer access

We may grant Pro-equivalent access to a small allowlist of reviewer email addresses (App Store, Google Play, journalists, accessibility testers). Reviewer access is non-commercial, non-transferable, may be revoked at any time, and grants the same product unlocks as a paid subscription. It does not change any other aspect of these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our content

Stampling, the Stampling name and logo, the in-app stamp shapes, decorative textures, gradients, mascot artwork, daily prompts, badge artwork, design, code, and all other non-user content are owned by Piotr Boroń or his licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the App for personal use as permitted by these Terms.

7.2 Your content

You retain all ownership rights in Your Content. We do not claim ownership over your photos, captions, or stamps, and we do not use Your Content to promote the App, train AI models, or generate derivative public-facing content.

7.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, ideas, or feature requests you send us regarding the App may be used by us freely without obligation or compensation to you. You are not required to send us feedback.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • Defects will be corrected.
  • The Service or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • Cloud-synced content will always be available, especially after subscription lapse (see § 6.7).

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PIOTR BOROŃ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Polish or EU law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of mandatory consumer-protection rules.

11. Data Deletion and Account Termination

11.1 Termination by you

You may at any time:

  • Leave a pair from the in-app couples screen.
  • Delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. This invokes a server-side deletion that removes your authentication credentials, your owned cloud content, and your role in any pair, and clears your data from this device.
  • Reset the App to clear all locally-stored data on this device.
  • Uninstall the App to remove all locally-stored data on this device.

11.2 Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your account, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or applicable law, if continued provision would expose us to legal risk, if your account has been inactive for an extended period, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure.

11.3 Effect of termination

Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends. Content stored solely on your device remains on the device until you uninstall or reset the App. Cloud content is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. Material changes will be notified via the App or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, where required by law. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland and applicable European Union law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA or the UK, mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you are habitually resident continue to apply.

Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by writing to support@stampling.app. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts under Polish and applicable EU consumer law.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
